1. Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing BuildBridge, creating an account, accepting these terms, publishing content or using a service, you agree to these terms and the privacy policy. Anyone acting for a business confirms their authority to bind that business.

You must have the age and legal capacity required locally to enter the relevant agreements independently. A parent, guardian or other lawfully authorised person should participate in employment, contracting, purchase or construction agreements involving minors.

2. BuildBridge services

BuildBridge is a digital platform connecting property requests, professional profiles and opportunities, business operations and industry resources. Services may include requests, directory search, professional profiles, employee and site management, schedules, attendance, hours, daily reports, photos, messages, quotations, invoice templates and third-party resource links.

Available features, countries, languages, plans and statuses are those shown on the relevant pages. Beta, trial or staged features may change; we aim to label them clearly.

3. Accounts, identities and roles

  • Registration information must be accurate and kept current. One person may hold different permitted identities, such as a property user, professional or business member.
  • Protect your password, sign-in links and devices. You are responsible for authorised activity on your account. Contact us promptly if you discover unusual use.
  • Business owners and administrators may grant limited access to employees, foremen or other members. The person granting access must confirm the recipient, role and site scope. We may require renewed identity verification for security.
  • Do not resell, rent or impersonate accounts, or automate the creation of false accounts.

4. Transactions, work and contracts between users

Landlords, professionals, businesses and employees decide whether to contact, quote, employ, contract, purchase or collaborate. They must check identity, qualifications, insurance, work rights, prices, scope, timing, tax, safety and contract conditions. Quotes, schedules, invitations, confirmations and messages on the platform may form part of their business records.

Unless a page expressly identifies BuildBridge as a party, we provide information and connection tools and are not a party to users’ construction, employment, contracting, sale or payment agreements. Businesses remain responsible for managing their employees and contractors, meeting legal obligations and approving final hours.

5. Content, photographs and reviews

You retain ownership of your content. You grant BuildBridge a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence, sublicensable to necessary service providers, to operate, display, back up, convert formats, recommend and promote content you choose to make public. This licence is limited to providing and improving services. After public display is disabled, we stop new public use within a reasonable time; legal records, backups and previous lawful sharing may remain.

You must have permission to upload text, photographs, drawings, logos, identity documents and other material, and address third-party privacy and intellectual-property rights. Reviews must reflect real experiences and be specific and fair. Do not upload unlawful, infringing, misleading, hateful, harassing, pornographic or dangerous content, or unnecessary sensitive information.

We may review, restrict, remove or retain evidence of content in response to reports, legal duties and community rules, and provide explanations or appeals where practicable.

6. Workforce, schedules, hours and location

Businesses using invitations, schedules, attendance, breaks, location verification, reports, photos, purchasing and records must comply with applicable employment, privacy, minimum wage, rest, safety, tax and retention laws and give necessary notices.

Calculated hours, location differences, costs and exceptions are operational records that businesses must review against actual circumstances. Automated alerts alone should not determine pay deductions, disciplinary action or termination without appropriate human confirmation. Workers should check records and report errors through explanation or appeal channels.

7. Fees, trials, subscriptions and payments

Paid features must display price, currency, taxes, billing period, any trial, renewal and cancellation method before purchase. Subject to applicable law, you authorise us or the payment provider to charge the confirmed order. Material changes to prices or ongoing subscriptions will be notified in advance as required by law.

These terms do not limit non-excludable New Zealand consumer rights, including under the Consumer Guarantees Act and Fair Trading Act. Refunds, repairs, cancellation and other remedies are handled under applicable law and the particular purchase conditions.

8. Construction safety, qualifications and professional information

Users must check required licensed personnel, permits, council consents, insurance, site safety, product instructions and statutory inspections. Estimates, DIY content, skills information, templates and automated summaries support preparation and communication. Structural, waterproofing, electrical, gas, roofing, health and safety, legal, tax, immigration and other regulated matters require confirmation by appropriately licensed or qualified people.

9. Prohibited conduct

  • False jobs, qualifications, fraudulent quotes, misleading reviews, illegal products or unauthorised personal information;
  • Harassment, discrimination, threats, exploitation, or evasion of work-rights, safety, wage, tax or consumer obligations;
  • Scraping private data, bypassing permissions, probing vulnerabilities, spreading malicious code, disrupting services or accessing other accounts without authority;
  • Impersonating BuildBridge or implying unconfirmed certification, partnerships, guarantees or official relationships;
  • Spam, or using obtained contact details for unrelated marketing or data trading.

10. BuildBridge intellectual property

BuildBridge’s brand, interface, software, classifications, original text, graphics, templates and arrangement are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to access services under these terms. Uploaded user content and identified third-party material remain with their respective owners.

11. Third-party services and links

The platform may connect sign-in and maps, cloud databases, payments, accounting, SMS, WeChat and other services. Third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We reasonably select and manage providers processing platform data; transactions or actions you take directly on third-party sites are that party’s responsibility.

12. Changes, suspension and termination

You may stop using services or close your account through available procedures. We may restrict, suspend or terminate features for maintenance, security, legal compliance, non-payment or serious or repeated breaches. Where reasonably practicable and consistent with investigations and security, we provide notice and an opportunity to appeal.

We may change or discontinue features and give reasonable notice of material changes affecting paid services. Transaction, hours, audit, dispute and security records required by law may remain after account termination.

13. Service standards and liability

We will provide our digital services with reasonable care and skill. Search, matching, ranking, reviews and estimates depend on user information, local supply and third-party data. Check key facts before important decisions.

To the extent permitted by law, BuildBridge is not responsible for independent users’ or third parties’ workmanship, employment actions, products, payments, promises or unlawful conduct, or for network disruption, third-party failures or indirect losses beyond reasonable control. No limitation applies where the law prohibits it, including non-excludable consumer rights, fraud or deliberate misconduct.

Where a business user’s unlawful content, unauthorised uploads, breach of employment or consumer obligations, or serious breach of these terms causes third-party claims against BuildBridge, that user is responsible, to the extent permitted by law, for reasonable losses and costs directly caused by its conduct.

14. Complaints, disputes and governing law

For platform issues, contact admin@buildbridge.nz or use the contact form with the relevant account, order or incident details and requested resolution. We aim to investigate and respond reasonably. Users should first address construction, employment, payment or product disputes with the other party. BuildBridge may provide records or communication tools where permissions and privacy allow.

New Zealand law governs these terms, with disputes handled by competent New Zealand courts or tribunals. This does not remove mandatory consumer or privacy rights under the laws of your country. New Zealand users may also seek help from the Disputes Tribunal or relevant regulators as appropriate.

15. Updates and other provisions

We may update these terms as features, fees, providers or laws change. Material changes will be notified in advance through the website, account or other reasonable means. We will request renewed consent where required by law. Continuing to use services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

If a provision is invalid, the remainder remains effective. Delayed enforcement is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or rights without consent. BuildBridge may assign these terms during a reorganisation or asset transfer and notify users as required by law.
